CHI Fast Track™ Loan Modification Program, Saving 100 Homes at a Time
Just like millions across the country, Westchester and Nassau homeowners facing possible foreclosure have spent many months in the frustrating process of attempting to obtain a loan modification. Many homeowners are facing the aggravation of dealing with multiple representatives who are unfamiliar with the particulars of their modification application, lost documents that have been sent multiple times to the bank, and a lack of feedback on the status of their modification status. Working with Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino, Community Housing Innovations has sponsored Fast Track™ Loan Modification events in which bank representatives come to CHI’s White Plains offices to meet face-to-face with Westchester homeowners and to help them “fast track” loan modification approvals to keep their homes. Homeowners who have their loans modified, have seen significant monthly savings as a result. CHI coordinates the meetings with other local nonprofit HUD approved housing counseling agencies. To date, Fast Track™ Loan Modification Program events have been held with the Bank of America and Wells Fargo/Wachovia Bank. CHI plans to continue to arrange for additional events on a quarterly schedule. Check CHI’s website, or follow CHI on Facebook and/or Twitter to find out when the next event is scheduled
